Most of the things we bring camping with us are kept in plastic bins. We unpack them once we get to our destination, and pack them up again when we leave. Since we usually always bring the same things with us we put labels on each bin to list what’s inside. In addition, we also write down the weight of the bin and its contents. This makes it much easier to distribute our cargo weight evenly inside the RV.

It is very important to ensure your cargo is properly distributed while in transit. Too much before the axle and your tongue weight may be too heavy. Too much behind the axle and chances of sway will increase. Too much on one side and you may exceed your tire’s maximum weight, even if your total axle weight is within limits.
