I didn’t like how I had to remove screws and take out the panels that were behind the trim to get access to my water heater. I just want to be able to get to it easily without the hassle of taking out screws and trying to slide and fidget the panels around.
The simple solution was to take out the panels and move them to the front of the trim, adding hinges, knob, and magnet so it opens and closes like a normal cabinet door. The panels don’t look too great because of the screw holes that used to hold them in place, but I’m OK with that. I probably could replace the panels by new and better looking ones, or even replace with real cabinet doors, but I simply don’t care enough; it’s just an RV after all. It needs to be practical and I can now access my water heater much easier.
